I bought some more watercolor paper recently, and thusly I got the chance to experiment with painting without lines once more. I did all the hatching and outlining you see after painting, and I really think my pictures turn out better that way. I guess I'm just a backwards person...

There really isn't any meaning behind this, discounting my general mood. I'm really trying my hardest to use bright colors, which was really difficult for me before now.
I just felt like painting a raven.

The pic's name is sort of an antithesis to Poe's Raven, reflecting a much more positive (?) side of a bird with a typically negative connotation.
(I was about to title this RAVE-n, but that was super-cheesy, even for me...)

Much. I had to bump the darkness and contrast to make it look less trashy.

I love this! The colours work so well together, and especially because they're selective. The bird's eye is haunting.

Thanks so much! I'm glad the colors don't look disconnected. That's usually my main problem when using bright colors. :3

Wow! I love how that green fades into the other jewel-like colors. It reminds of the shell of a jewel-colored beetle (specifically, one that landed on my sister's hat once)! XD This picture also reminded me of your avatar a bit. :D
