Before getting started on this pic, Ash and I spent a few minutes writing down what was on our minds without showing each other what we wrote, and began to paint with these preemptive ideas in mind.
Her thoughts were on the spiritual corruption of youth, while mine dealt with the loss of emotion and the process of regaining them from a stoic state.

It turned out AMAZING. You'd have to see it in person.
And both of these have a sorta nebular theme... weird.

Dude. You're crazy. You guys did an awesome job! I can never comprehend attempting this kind of art; I've mentioned it before, y'know the whole 'you think Im messy but no, I'm just complex, but not complex enough to confuse you, just detailed in a way that intrigues you to stare at me as long as the eye in the picture stares at you. ahohoho, suck on that, viewer.' Thanks! I had to read that twice before it sunk in, lol. XD;

I don't think we're really as deep as you think! Things just kinda come out as disconnected, yet loosely connected motifs. And I think that the fact that those things can work together to form one coherent, compositionally-sound surrealistic picture.
